- I purchased a watch couple of months ago and have had to reset / re-calibrate the compass half a dozen times. Is there any reason that could be causing this? The temp and tidefunctions seem to work fine.

The compass may need frequent recalibration if the watch is exposed to strong magnetic fields, such as smartphones, speakers, laptops, car dashboards, or other electronic devices. These sources can interfere with the compass sensor and affect its accuracy over time. To help reduce this, we recommend keeping the watch away from magnetic objects when possible and recalibrating it in an open outdoor area away from electronics or metal structures. If you continue to experience frequent issues despite proper calibration, we kindly suggest reaching out to our Customer Service team so they can further assist you and check if service support is needed.

- Hello Peter! Thank you for reaching out with your question about setting the tide feature on your Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass 45mm Silicone Strap Watch! To set the tide clock, first pull the crown to the middle position. You can then use the TIDE or TEMP push buttons to move the tide indicator hand. Pressing the TIDE button will move the hand clockwise, while the TEMP button will move it counterclockwise. The tide hand should point to the current tide state, indicating rising tides when pointing left and falling tides when pointing right. The tide scale on the dial will show the number of hours until the next high or low tide. The tide clock works based on the moon's position, as it predicts high and low tides every 6 hours and 12.5 minutes. However, it’s important to note that tides are also influenced by other factors like the sun's position and the shape of the shoreline, so it might require periodic adjustments for more accuracy.
