- Hi I recived my Waterbury watch the other month and I really love it. So many friends have commented how good it looks. However: the second had does not sweep - there does not appear to be any plastic 'battery saver ring' under the crown and the watch keeps time, but the second hand is stuck at the 12 O' clock position, which is annoying as I find it difficult sometimes to tell the time, as the second hand appears to be the minute hand whilst it is static.
