Very happy with this watch. Beautifully
"Very happy with this watch. Beautifully simple and easy to read dial. A very comfortable and sympathetic strap. The only downside is the poor lume in a nighttime setting. Great look and value."

"A really good watch."
"an absolute gem. everything about this watch is spot on, size, manual wind, fantastic face markings, crown/size. . . . . will easily stand up to any of the originals. . . . an instant classic of which Timex have a few! You will see my age below. . . . . old man. . . . but I bought this for my 30 year old son. . . . he was looking for a good watch and he loves it. . . . . . . . . . I already have a number of the originals. . . . ."
"Great look but so so disappointed that the face/glass isn't crystal - the plastic on mine has scratched already , on a £200 watch is poor show."
"Great watch, perfect dimensions as a retro military watch. The brushed stainless steel case, black face, hands and numerals makes it an easy watch to read at a glance. The strap is well made a durable. 10/10 for an affordable mechanical military style watch for less than half the price other branded military style watches. And it keeps great time 😊"
"Overall happy to get a simple, nostalgic classic watch. However a few niggles: why a plastic dome not glass? (Cost I guess). After two weeks light use it is already showing signs of wear, especially on one edge which I think is just from rubbing against a sleeve. The luminous dials are slightly un-luminous after a few hours in the dark. And on one occasion the strap caught on a back pack strap and one of the bars holding the military style strap pinged off. Amazing I found it on the floor and managed to refit it. The watch looks the part but I’m disappointed in some of the quality in a watch costing £180. Kind of wish I’d bought a glass- lensed expedition watch instead."
"Lovely watch. Wish the lens was Sapphire, but overall a great watch for every day use"
"I've own several of the MK1 watch. So when I read your info on the hand wound & the larger Automatic version, it was a hard choice to make. I've always regarded the MK1 as the best of Timex watches design. So I eventually bought the smaller hand wound version. It's a really nice watch & I love everything about it. My only problem is the quality of these horrible straps. Good watches should come with a decent leather strap, so I've bought a really good quality green Leather strap, & my new Timex MK1 now look's excellent. I've never liked the cloth straps in any form as I think they look tacky, cheap, although they save watch company's money."
"Very pleasing and better looking in real life no nonsense watch. Performs admirably for the price"
"This is a great looking mechanical field watch and is definitely the best around in its price bracket. Kudos to Timex for making it 36mm, which is the perfect size for a field watch. The dial and hand set is spot on and give a distinct military watch vibe. The steel case has a very nice quality brushed finish with a polished snap on back. I believe the mechanical movement is a Seagull TY6DSK. It has a smooth wind and is very quiet. The accuracy is ok-ish, I'm getting +22spd which is in spec for this little budget movement. I'll regulate it at some point and I'm sure I'll get it nearer COSC with a bit of fiddling. The lume as usual is pretty sub par. The strap is a very nice quality with brushed fittings but is a little short I think. The buckle is signed. Plenty of 18mm straps out there to change the look of this fantastic watch. . . it'll be a strap monster! I've already changed mine to an olive green Phoenix. Pros: 36mm size Domed acrylic crystal Hand winding. Steel case Military aesthetic Cons: Lume Accuracy In my view what could make this the absolute best military field watch out there would be to keep everything as is but just add fixed bars, better quality lume and a Swiss movement (Soprod or Selitta), nothing would come close then!"
