A New Classic
"Looks, wears and feels like a quality product. The mat stainless steel case is flawlessly finished, strap pleasing thick yet very comfortable and the sapphire crystal has resisted scratches with ease despite my less than careful use. The quick release straps work well allowing you to easily swap the straps for a third party item if you want a different look or use. Its smaller size sits really well on my small wrist but wouldn't look out of place on a larger arm. So far it has kept excellent time and while the second hand doesn't hit the second markers bang on, it's close enough. Layout of the face is very clear with the sutbly raised numbers and stepped dial a very pleasing and a classy touch. The only features which are slightly disappointing are the use of a light grey colour on the numerals (not white) and the less than effective luminous hands and hour markers. I have found this does make it slightly harder to read in dimmer light conditions and you wouldn't be able to tell the time in the dark at all once the 'glow' has warn off (which doesn't last very long). For me this is far from a deal breaker, for what is a good value, quality built, classically styled, solar powered field watch which doesn't look out of place in the office with a suit, or on the hills."

- I have an expedition North 36 mm watch and I do construction work so I am extremely hard on watches I have used this watch every day for two years and two heavy duty leather bands and the watch still looks brand new! No scratches or scuffs and the the time has only been a few seconds off I'd like to leave a review and possibly pictures to show how incredibly well made this watch is. I have a small collection including Citizens Bulova and Seiko and none of them can compare to the durability or accuracy of my everyday Timex that is a third of the price

- I'm looking at the Timex MK1 36mm handwind, my only concern is the crystal/acrylic glass, the Expedition Field solar 36mm which has crystal/sapphire glass. Is this better of the two.
